Not a whole lot to say....

So was I smoking crack when I thought we would have moved in to our new pad by late September and then traveled to Ethiopia to pick up our little Munch in, say, late November? If that's the case, then I swear I was unaware of the substance abuse. But that must have been it seeing as how it doesn't even look like we'll begin building until late August. Not to mention I saw online the current processing date at the Colorado CIS center is September. September. SEPTEMBER!!!

So, if this is all true (minus the crack smoking), then the only next step I can truly take is the one in which I start focusing on the positives about both of these entire processes. One- we should be "for sure" moved in to our new place prior to travel. This means we won't have to put our little one through any more of the rigors of house moving. Two- we should be settled in our new pad. Because of this, we'll know how to move around the kitchen during those late night "we're getting accustomed to living in a new time zone" transitions. Three- we'll be able to save more money for cutsie cloth diapers. Four- perhaps we won't have to completely dress Munch up in mittens, long underwear, hats, scarves, etc. anytime we want to go outside. The focus can be on cute t-shirts and baby Croc's. The way I see it, the more I can set my eyes on that lovely brown skin, the better. Five- if we travel in spring, we have a higher chance of being able to fly home and not getting stuck at some airport due to weather delays.

At least it's a beginning....

Not to mess up your schedule...but when I looked up the CIS processing dates for MN, it said 4-5 months. It actually took 5 weeks! Not sure if that helps or hurts, but it could happen a LOT sooner:) Colorado was awesome, though not as cool as your hot spring I'm sure!

How in the world do you look up CIS processing? Never heard of such...
Anyway, thanks for the note on my blog. Teaching is HARD and I don't think anyone really knows and can understand that we have to be the advocate for ALL the children we teach, not just the obvious ones. It is about finding the best balance and one factor can REALLY throw it off. I hope everything has worked out in the last month.
On a different note, we finished the Wizard of Oz today. Did you read the whole thing to your class? I didn't realize Oz was such a violent place...yikes. We survived and they are now trying to convince me we really need to watch the movie to compare and contrast...sneaky little guys think they can pull some teacher lingo on me for a movie.

Way to be so positive! It truly is impressive and is so nice since I will be waiting with you it is nice to hear to good and not focus so much on the bad. Please continue to share your positive outlook on the wait with me. I am all for baby crocs!!

I also wanted to ask you... are you in the Carbondale area? We stayed there last summer over the 4th of July and spent some time in Aspen, Glenwood, and Vail. It was fun and we are thinking about doing it again this summer. It would be fun to meet you if we do make it up there.
