Dedicated to my sock buyer

Today (on a SATURDAY, mind you), my husband willingly woke up at 5:45 in order to accompany me on an hour and a half drive to Grand Junction, Colorado. I had the absolute pleasure of taking an awesome formalized test for linguistically diverse education. A test that has not been high on my priority list for the past several months. Nothing like waiting until the week prior to study, I always say.

So after a couple hours of going back and forth with several chosen answers, I was able to leave the blasted testing room and run into the arms of my sweet husband. Only I didn't exactly run into his arms. I mostly sat down in the passenger seat of the car, arms crossed, pout on my face. Stupid studying. Or rather, stupid lack of studying. Multiple choice tests are SO RAD for those of us who can't even decide which color sock to wear- "blue? gray? Shit. I'll just wear the colors combined. Yeah. Combined." Striped socks were invented for gals such as myself.

Anyway, the test is obviously over. I survived it, even though those drated questions had me wondering if my hair was long or short (right now it's actually in the middle... see, I told you). If I didn't pass it, I'll try to be chill with it and possibly take it over again later in life. If I did pass it, well, margaritas for everyone.

Jas helped me celebrate with a new pair of striped socks (awwwww) AND a Mexican lunch. Muy bueno. And because he's so darn great, well, I just had to post a picture of him taken from a half hour ago. He puts up with my crap, and I'm just so darn lucky to have him in my life. See- there he is, scraping bugs off our aspen trees. He. Is. Great.

Hubbies are great, aren't they? And I'm totally a funky sock person for the same reason. Especially because it's hard to find socks to match them funky tshirts!

Striped socks rock the casbah. And I love this vision I had: you with the idea of posting about your socks, so you run to the dresser to pull out all the striped ones, then arranging them in a pile on the floor and snapping a photo or two. Only a blogger would do this. Anyone watching you would think you were a lunatic. Which maybe you are: who takes pictures of their socks? ;)

You have Aspen trees... love them. Josh's fam lives in Palmer Lake, CO in a house nestled amongst pine trees and aspen trees.

In Oklahoma, we have um.... weird grass and ugly trees approximately 6 feet tall....oh, and red dirt.

Courtney Rose, I confess I am also an official blog stalker of you. Is it still as creepy if we all do it? Ryan and I just moved to AL from Boulder and talk every day about how we can get back there! I used to teach in Broomfield. I am also excited about coming to the blog union because I have a 3 hour layover in DIA and my favorite CO friends are coming to meet me. The blog union needs you.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for the margaritas for everyone option, but striped socks will do in the meantime! Your hubby sounds fantastic.
